IF YOU HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE RING TO MEASURE

Using a pencil, trace the inside of the ring on a piece of paper and email us with the result after.

WHEN IN DOUBT, SIZE UP

If the measurement falls between a whole and half size, what do I do? Always choose to size up. It is easier to shave off from a ring that’s too large than to add to a ring that’s too small.

DO NOT USE STRING OR PAPER

Some sources suggest wrapping a string or strip of paper around the finger, marking it and then finding the corresponding size on a chart. This method is very prone to error due to the nature of material used, not to mention humidity and temperature that affect metals differently.

Furthermore, this method does not take into consideration the clearance that is needed for the ring to slip over the finger joint or knuckle. In most cases, the joint is larger than the rest of the finger.

SETTING TYPES FOR EASY RESIZING

Depending on different places or stages of your life, your ring size may change. If you foresee that you will need to resize it often, we suggest going with a simple setting with the usual gold, white gold and platinum bands.

Styles that are especially challenging to resize include milgrain or ornate bands, and eternity rings with a specific number of gemstones per finger size.
